Stop wondering which hero to pick for the best rank! We've ranked and analyzed the current tank heroes to help you make the best choice. Choose your preferred hero and dive into the battle!
Doctor Strange - Tier A
In the current version, Doctor Strange has been nerfed by 50 HP, reducing his survivability. Moreover, in the current S1 early and mid-season, other heroes have received increased damage buffs. Doctor Strange is a highly resource-dependent character, and losing 50 HP means he'll need to spend more time shielding himself, which directly impacts his damage output and resource efficiency. However, Doctor Strange remains an extremely versatile hero, capable of fulfilling most T-tank duties, making him the "jack of all trades" in the roster.
Hulk - Tier A
Currently ranked just behind Doctor Strange, Hulk remains a strong character in this version. His SHIFT skill provides excellent protection for his teammates, with a massive shield that absorbs both damage and control effects. For example, Hulk's shield can block Doctor Strange's ultimate, as well as any other crowd control abilities. In short, Hulk is a character that combines mobility, crowd control, and protection, with both solid defensive and offensive traits. However, like Doctor Strange, Hulk has been nerfed by 50 HP, making his survivability weaker. If he gets caught in a control effect and his jump rhythm is interrupted, he can easily die unexpectedly.
Magneto - Tier S
In the current version, Magneto's SHIFT skill duration has been reduced, but he has received a buff to his left-click damage, making his offensive potential even stronger. Combined with his naturally tanky attributes and the fact that his hard counter (Wolverine) is consistently in the BAN pool, Magneto becomes a nearly flawless pick in the current meta.
Groot - Tier S
Groot's tree wall is a strong counter to heroes like Hela and Hawkeye, with Hawkeye especially being completely helpless against it. Few heroes can effectively counter Groot's tree wall. The most notable counters are Bucky, Punisher, Rocket Raccoon teams, and the ever-present BAN character Wolverine. The only weakness is that Groot struggles against airborne heroes, as the tree wall does not block aerial units. Nonetheless, Groot's 850 HP and strong survivability allow him to handle high-pressure situations well. Additionally, the tree wall disrupts enemy healing, and his ultimate is one of the few group control abilities in the game, making him a powerful asset in team fights.
Thor - Tier A
Thor has high mobility, a small hitbox, and deals high damage, posing a significant threat to enemy backlines. However, his small size also makes him fragile and weak in direct confrontations, though this can be mitigated by relying on his teammates' T-tank to cover him. This hero requires good player mechanics and synergy with support teammates to reach his full potential.
Thing - Tier A
Thing’s mechanics are quite unique. His SHIFT skill's "root" effect can prevent most mobile heroes from using their movement skills within its range, making him a strong counter to mobile champions. His passive ability grants immunity to displacement effects, such as Bucky’s right-click or Wolverine’s SHIFT, making Thing one of the best counters to Wolverine. However, Thing is a melee hero, and his survivability on the battlefield can be poor. Additionally, his ultimate has limited versatility, making him less adaptable than some other tank heroes.
Venom - Tier B
Venom is most effective when paired with Spider-Man. Otherwise, he serves as a basic damage-absorbing tank with minimal impact on supporting teammates or posing a significant threat to enemy backlines. If you're looking to practice with a tank, Venom isn't the best choice. It's better to focus on higher-tier heroes for stronger overall performance.
Penny Parker - Tier F
Penny Parker is the weakest tank in the game. She trades poor survivability for low damage output, making her the worst hero in the T-tank tier. She lacks shields, high health, and protection abilities, and her large hitbox and the movement penalty while shooting make her an easy target for the enemy. These factors contribute to her poor ability to withstand damage.
Captain America - Tier C
Captain America boasts the best ultimate among T-tanks, but his overall performance is mediocre, with no standout strengths outside of his ultimate. His utility is solid but lacks the impact needed to make him a top-tier tank.
